I head up the Older and Vulnerable Persons team at HCR Law, a Top 60 UK law firm. We manage a portfolio of professional Deputy and Attorney matters and specialise in all areas of Court of Protection work, including contentious and welfare applications. We also advise on all aspects of care funding, including NHS and Local Authority challenges.I actively raise awareness of issues surrounding financial abuse of the elderly and vulnerable, working closely with the police and local authorities to ensure that perpetrators of financial abuse are brought to justice. We are actively campaigning for better protections in this area of the law and often advise public and professionals in respect of concerns about potential financial abuse.I host conferences, talks, training and seminars to raise awareness of other important legal issues for individuals, organisations, charities and other professionals as an expert in my field.I am a Dementia Friends Ambassador for Alzheimer’s Society, a Trustee for Age UK Northamptonshire and a Notary Public.
