Committee Member
Tonina heads up the Older and Vulnerable Persons team at HCR Law, specialising in all aspects of Court of Protection work, including contentious and welfare applications. Tonina acts as a professional Deputy and Attorney, both personally and as a Director of the firm’s Trust Corporation.
As a team, the OVP supports vulnerable individuals with a range of capacity limitations, including complex acquired brain
injuries. The team supports those individuals and their families tonavigate complex legal issues around mental capacity, care funding and safeguarding.
Tonina has a keen interest in promoting the interests of vulnerable people, through training and education, campaigning and raising awareness of important issues such as financial abuse.
Tonina is a qualified Notary Public, a member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers, a Trustee for Age UK Northamptonshire, a Dementia Friends Ambassador for Alzheimer’s Society and holds the STEP advanced certificate in advising vulnerable clients.
