About Simply Social Work
At Simply Social Work, we work tirelessly to provide professional assessments and reports to people's exact requirements. No lengthy, expensive reports if a simple, uncontentious mental capacity determination is required. Of course, our experience of writing court and tribunal reports means we can tackle the most difficult of assessments if required.
We are happy to be instructed by solicitors and professional deputies and enjoy developing services that are useful to you in your role, acting in the person's best interests. Our two directors and consultant social workers (Gary Crisp and Neil Courtney) are both qualified Best Interests Assessors and understand the role well. Gary and Neil have over 10 years' experience each as mental capacity assessors.
How can we assist solicitors and professional deputies?
We can assist you with a range of services and are happy to combine what are usually separate assessments and reports, saving your clients time and money. We can be instructed to undertake mental capacity assessment (for any decision including litigation, testamentary, care and accommodation), care assessments and care plan reviews. We can also write care plans for your clients if they have no involvement from the local authority.
We can also be instructed to review current care arrangements and made recommendations in relation to Continuing Healthcare (CHC) and deprivation of liberty. Gary and Neil have both statutory and independent experience in both areas and often advise people on whether either should be pursued.
